In October 2022, a new cohort of MA students from the University of Lyon, the Bauhaus-University of Weimar and the University of Arts in Belgrade met for a one-week workshop in Weimar, Germany.

During this week, they got to know each other, the SHAKIN’ project and its partners and engaged in a range of activities, including theoretical workshops, city walks and guided visits of the local context of Weimar. But foremost, the workshop week aimed to form international groups (with students from all the three universities in each group) to develop projects together that tackle issues and topics related to subaltern knowledge. These projects will be elaborated with mentors remotely throughout the semester until March 2023 before partners and students will meet again at a Winter School in Lyon. This Winter School will also be the occasion for the local experimentation of the projects.

Also, former participants of the first year have been invited to share their experiences with the new participants. This way, the latter were able to gain insights into projects from previous year’s student groups, such as the "Seven Senses" manual or the audio walk “How could a non-sexist city sound like?".
