The admission of these students benefiting from the Eiffel scholarship to our courses is the result of a joint effort between our teams and our foreign partners. It demonstrates our University's commitment to train the talents of tomorrow," explains Marie-Cécile Escande-Varniol as the head of the Master's degree in Social Law and she will welcome one of the winners into her course.

« It is to our delight that this Cambodian student was chosen for obtaining an Eiffel scholarship. Beyond the recognition that this nomination represents for the winner, this success is also the reward for decades of efforts made by Lyon 2 University for the academic cooperation with Cambodia. The Master in Social Law has been welcoming Cambodian students to the IETL for twenty years, at the rate of one or two per year. Most of them now hold important positions in Cambodia, either in ministries or mainly in lawyers' or notaries' offices. Many of them were laureates of the Eiffel scholarships. »

The Eiffel scholarship program
Funded by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Eiffel scholarship aims to attract the best international students to French higher education institutions. In addition to a monthly stipend and among other things, students receive a grant to cover the costs of travelling to France from their home country. The Eiffel program gives priority to applicants from emerging countries in four main fields of study, including law, economics and management, and political science.
Each year, our university launches a call for applications from international students and then selects the best entries and submits them to Campus France. The organisation is in charge of the program, their committee of experts assess the applications received.
