In order to meet the needs of students in financial difficulty, the Université Lumière Lyon 2 has opened a solidarity grocery store on the Porte des Alpes Campus to provide students with limited financial resources food and hygiene products at a lower cost.

In response to this project, the GAELIS association opened in October a solidarity grocery store on the Porte des Alpes Campus, opposite the Student Centre.

The products sold at a lower cost come from food banks, donations from local shops or supermarkets.

The grocery store, which is located opposite the Student Centre, is open:

  • Monday from 1pm to 4pm
  • Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm
  • Wednesday from 11am to 2pm
  • Thursday from 1pm to 4pm
Access to the grocery store, for a renewable period of 2 to 3 months, is based on an application taking into account the student's financial resources.

Access Application

To access the solidarity grocery store, you must fill out an application form for the allocation of Agoraé food aid. You must then drop it off at the Student Centre (fr. Maison de l'Etudiant.e or MDE), on the 1st floor, office U113. The response time is a maximum of 1 month. You will then be contacted to make an appointment to come to the grocery store.
