Enrolment

I am an international student and would like to apply to Lyon 2 University. How should I proceed?

The application platform you need to use will depend on several factors (your country of birth, your current country of residence, your most recent diploma...). You can consult this document to determine the procedure that applies to your situation.

Can I enroll at the university without a valid visa/residence permit?

Yes, it is possible to enroll without a valid residence permit. However, make sure you provide any documents that attest to your current situation during your administrative enrollment. Additionally, when you complete the administrative procedures to obtain a residence permit, your acceptance letter/certificate of enrollment from the university will be useful.

I am a refugee or under temporary or subsidiary protection. Can my tuition fees be waived?

If you are a refugee or if you benefit from protection in France, you will not have to pay any fees. For more information on fee waivers: exemption procedure.

How much are tuition fees currently?

The current cost of tuition is €2,850 per year for a bachelor's degree, and €250 per year for a master's degree. You can consult the "droits et montants d'inscription" (fees and tutions amounts) page for more information. Don't forget to also pay the €103 CVEC (Contribution to Student and Campus Life) fee.

I have been accepted at the university. What is the next step?

You will need to complete your administrative enrollment at the university by following the enrollment link you receive by email or that you find on the university's enrollment page. Administrative enrollments begin on July 1 or July 8, depending on your program.

To enroll, you need to pay the €103 CVEC (Contribution to Student and Campus Life) fee to the CROUS of Lyon: https://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr/

Academics

I don't understand my transcript.

You will find explanations for each term used on your transcript on the dedicated page. Feel free to contact your department's secretariat if you encounter any issues.

CHow do I justify my absences? How many absences are allowed per semester?

Under what conditions should I retake exams?

If you have passed your year with an average of at least 10, you will not have to take retake exams. You will find the list of cases requiring a second session on the dedicated page.

I can't access my intranet or Moodle, or my schedule isn't showing up. What should I do?

You can contact the GSN, the digital services desk, which manages the IT issues that students may encounter.
They are located on both campuses (BDR: PAL-122, behind the cafeteria and PDA: F006) and can be reached at +33 (0)4 78 77 44 31.

I have a question about my academic enrollment, my academic contract, or course selection.

If you are in the first or second year of a bachelor's degree: you can contact the ETIP center (Timetables and academic enrollment) at +33 (0)4 78 69 70 21 or via their online form.
If you are in the third year of a bachelor's degree, in a master's degree, or in another program: you should contact your academic advisor directly.
