Bienvenue en France label 2020

The aim of the "Bienvenue en France" label is to attest to the quality of the welcome offered by our establishments and to promote them to international students. It is awarded on the basis of an online self-assessment and a portfolio of evidence based on 5 criteria:

• The quality of accessibility and information;

• The quality of the welcome extended to international students;

• Accessibility of training and suppor provided for courses;

• The quality of campus life and accommodation;

• The quality of post-graduate support.

Université Lumière Lyon 2 embarked on the label certification process at the beginning of 2020, at the same time as the International Relations Department launched the International Student Office.

The role of the ISO is to welcome, guide and support international students. It offers linguistic and methodological support as well as linguistic and cultural activities, and helps students with administrative formalities and finding accommodation. Students are welcomed by a resolutely international and multilingual team, able to answer questions in French, Portuguese, English, German, Spanish and Russian.

It complements other initiatives taken by our university to improve the way its international students are welcomed and supported:

• Welcome meetings for international students;

• Free FLE courses and intensive French language courses;

• international student guide and accommodation guide (The International Student Guide and the Housing Guide are currently being translated and will be available soon);

• Language tandem and conversation workshops.
