Before starting your application

Depending on the agreement between your university and ours, you may study at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 for :

  • the first semester (from September to January)
  • the second semester (January to June)
  • the full academic year (September to June)*

*for students from universities in the southern hemisphere only (including Australian universities, Brazilian universities, Argentinean universities, Mexican universities, etc.), the full calendar year (from January to January of the following year)

Fill in the online form

In order to complete our enrolment form, please follow the instructions sent to you by e-mail by the International Relations Office. As a reminder, you must complete the application form online and attach any required documents (identity card...).

IMPORTANT: You must have finalised your application no later than May 5th if your mobility starts in September, and October 15th if your mobility starts in January.

Choose a French Language course

French courses are offered by the International Center of French Studies (CIEF).

If you wish to take part in the PRUNe seminar (intensive pre-semestrial programme, extra fees apply) which will take place from the end of August to mid-September, you must express your intent in our online application form. The CIEF will then contact you to inform you of the procedure to follow in order to complete your enrolment. The seminar is open to students having a B1 to C2 level in French language.

If you wish to take part in the course entitled French for International Mobility Students (FEMI) during your mobility (free regular-semester-long course), you must express your intent in our online application form.

The CIEF will then contact you to tell you the procedure to follow. Please note that a minimum A2 level in French is required.
